A 42-year-old man in Gaziosmanpaşa was shot and killed during a fight after responding to insults directed at his son. While the man's funeral was being held, efforts to capture the fleeing suspects are ongoing.
A terrible incident occurred on the night of Friday, July 4, in the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood of Gaziosmanpaşa. According to allegations, when the waste collector Cengiz Taş (42) responded to Şükrü T. and Ahmet K., who insulted his son, a dispute broke out between the parties. The incident quickly escalated into a fight, and both sides drew weapons.
KILLED WITH A GUN
The bullets fired from the gun of the suspect Ahmet K. hit Cengiz Taş. Then, when Cengiz Taş's relative Ferhat Taş returned fire with a gun, the suspects fled the scene. Ferhat Taş took the injured Cengiz Taş to the hospital. Despite all the interventions made at the hospital, Cengiz Taş, who was injured in two different parts of his body, could not be saved.
FAREWELL TO HIS LAST JOURNEY
After the autopsy procedures, Cengiz Taş's body was received by his family. After the funeral prayer held at Akşemsettin Mosque in Gaziosmanpaşa yesterday afternoon, Taş's body was buried in Kilyos Cemetery in Sarıyer.

Meanwhile, efforts to capture the suspects Şükrü T. and Ahmet K., who fled the scene after shooting Cengiz Taş, are ongoing.
