Ali Nuhoğlu, known for transferring three villas worth 50 million dollars to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) President Ekrem İmamoğlu for 15 million TL, was also detained in the same operation. It was learned that he was caught while trying to escape with 40 million TL in his possession.
In the context of the money counting images and 'City Consensus' investigations within the CHP, a detention order was issued for 106 suspects, including İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, Murat Ongun, Tuncay Yılmaz, Fatih Keleş, Ertan Yıldız, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, and İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, as well as Reform Institute President Mehmet Ali Çalışkan.
87 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY
The reasons for the accusations were stated as "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "bribery," "corruption," "qualified fraud," "illegally obtaining personal data," and "interfering with a tender." So far, 87 people have been detained as part of the operation.
ALI NUHOĞLU CAUGHT WHILE FLEEING WITH 40 MILLION LIRA
One of the individuals subject to a detention order was Ali Nuhoğlu. Nuhoğlu, known as the person who transferred three villas, which had a real value of 50 million dollars hidden in İmamoğlu's asset declaration, to İmamoğlu for 15 million TL, was also detained. It was learned that Nuhoğlu was caught while fleeing with 40 million lira.
