Engin Siyah, who found a transaction record on the door of his zero-kilometer car while selling it, stated that he suffered victimization due to conflicting reports from authorized services, demanded the return of the vehicle, and announced that he would take the matter to court.

Vehicle owner Engin Siyah, who was shocked by an expert report while trying to sell his car purchased as brand new in Istanbul, stated that he suffered victimization due to contradictory reports from authorized services and demanded a solution.

EXPERT REPORT CAUSED SHOCK

Engin Siyah, who bought a brand new Peugeot Rifter from an authorized dealer in Istanbul at the beginning of 2025, wanted to sell his car about a year later. Upon the request of the prospective buyer, an expert inspection revealed that the left front door of the vehicle had been disassembled and reassembled, and paint with high micron values was detected.

SAME FINDING AT AUTHORIZED SERVICE

Siyah informed the dealer from whom he purchased the vehicle and was directed to the authorized service in Trabzon. The inspection there also assessed that the door had been disassembled and reassembled, and painting work had been done.

SECOND REPORT SAID "FACTORY"

When the vehicle was inspected a second time after the complaint, a different result emerged. The second report prepared by the authorized service stated that the micron values were within factory limits and no repair traces were found.

"I WAS SHOCKED WHILE DRINKING MY TEA"

Describing his experience, Engin Siyah said he was greatly surprised when he saw the expert report, adding, "I bought the car brand new, I said this is not possible. I was shocked when I heard the same thing at the authorized service."

"I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE THE CAR"

Reacting to the second report from the authorized service considering the procedures "normal," Siyah stated that although they said the car's value had not decreased, the dealer did not take the car back. "I don't want to drive the car. This is my 19th car, and I am encountering such a situation for the first time," he said.

WILL GO TO COURT

Stating that he will resort to legal action if his grievance is not resolved, Siyah said he would leave the car in front of the dealer from whom he purchased it if necessary.
