13-year-old Orhan Dozen, who achieved success in the High School Transition System (LGS) exam in Kızıltepe district of Mardin and won the science high school of his dreams, lost his life by drowning in a swimming pool he went to cool off. Little Orhan was bid farewell amidst tears.
FOUND MOTIONLESS IN THE POOL
The tragic incident occurred yesterday evening at a paid swimming pool of a private turf field located on Şenyurt road in Atatürk Neighborhood. Citizens cooling off in the pool noticed 13-year-old Orhan Dozen lying motionless on the water surface. The unfortunate child, pulled out of the water with the warning and help of those around, was immediately taken to Kızıltepe State Hospital. Despite all interventions by doctors at the hospital, Orhan Dozen could not be saved and lost his life.
BURIED AT MIDNIGHT
After the autopsy procedures were completed, Orhan Dozen's lifeless body, handed over to his family, was brought to Sanayi Neighborhood Cemetery in Kızıltepe district late at night. He was laid to rest with prayers amidst the tears of his relatives and loved ones.
GREAT SUCCESS REMAINED INCOMPLETE
It was learned that 13-year-old Orhan Dozen, who lost his life, had achieved great success after the LGS results and was placed in Kızıltepe Science High School, which he wanted so much. Orhan's death, who lost his life without experiencing the joy of his success, plunged the district into mourning.
The police teams' extensive investigation into the incident continues.
