The Turkish Football Federation announced that former English referee Anthony Taylor has started his duties as the MHK Elite Referee Director. Taylor will lead training, performance evaluation, and referee development strategies for the advancement of Turkish refereeing.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced a notable appointment in the Central Referee Board (MHK). In the statement made by the TFF, it was reported that former English referee Anthony Taylor has started his duty as the MHK Elite Referee Director.
WILL WORK FOR TURKISH REFEREEING
In the MHK statement, it was stated that Anthony Taylor will lead the planning of technical development processes for top-class referees, strengthening performance evaluation systems, preparing training programs, developing match analysis and feedback processes, and creating referee development strategies in line with UEFA and FIFA standards.
ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST EXPERIENCED REFEREES
Anthony Taylor, who served for many years within the English Football Federation, has carried the FIFA badge since 2013. Throughout his career, he officiated numerous critical matches in organizations such as the FIFA World Cup, European Football Championship, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Nations League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Taylor also refereed the 2022-2023 UEFA Europa League Final, the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup Final, the 2021 UEFA Nations League Final, and the 2020 UEFA Super Cup Final, while in England he officiated many important matches, including the FA Cup and League Cup finals.
