In the Derecik district of Hakkari, Specialist Sergeant Kasım Yurt, who had forgotten his house key, was severely injured after being crushed between a wall and the ladder basket when the fire truck slipped while he was trying to reach his balcony with the help of the fire department team. Taken to the hospital, Yurt could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
Special Sergeant Kasım Yurt, living in Derecik district of Hakkari, reported to the fire department after forgetting his house key. The special sergeant lost his life in an accident that occurred when the fire truck slipped while he was trying to reach the balcony of his house.
HE ASKED FOR HELP TO ENTER HIS HOME
According to the information obtained, Special Sergeant Kasım Yurt, residing in Merkez Neighborhood, asked for help from the 112 Emergency Call Center after forgetting the key to his apartment on the 5th floor.
During the work of the fire department teams directed to the address upon the report, Yurt, who got into the ladder basket to reach the balcony of the apartment, wanted to get back down when the ladder did not reach the balcony.

At this moment, as a result of the fire truck slipping for a reason not yet determined, Special Sergeant Yurt was seriously injured after being crushed between the wall and the ladder basket.
HE LOST HIS LIFE IN THE HOSPITAL
After the first intervention at the scene, Yurt was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life. A large-scale investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
