In Adana Ceyhan, the industrial estate was flooded after a heavy downpour. Tradesmen carried out an ironic protest using surfboards to draw attention to the infrastructure problem.
INDUSTRIAL SITE TURNED INTO A LAKE; MASTER SHOWED HIS REACTION WITH A SUP BOARD
After the heavy rain that was effective in the Ceyhan district of Adana, the streets and avenues of the industrial site were flooded. While vehicles struggled to advance on the streets that quickly turned into a lake, the fronts of workplaces were covered with water. Stating that they face the same scene every rain, the industrial tradesmen reacted to the situation this time with an interesting and ironic method. Kadir Usta, a vehicle repair master among the industrial tradesmen, did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP board) on the water-filled street to draw attention to the infrastructure problem that has been going on for years. While citizens were surprised to see the master advancing with a SUP board on the road that turned into a lake, images that were both funny and thought-provoking emerged.
The tradesmen stated that after the rain, the fronts of their workplaces were covered with water, customers had difficulty entering the industrial zone, and work was disrupted, and requested a permanent solution from the authorities.
