Four people have been reported dead after a helicopter crashed in a forested area in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The local fire department stated that those who lost their lives were the pilot and 3 passengers, and that the identification efforts have not yet been completed. Colombia's Consul to Brazil, Diana Paez, said in a statement to the EFE news agency that three of the deceased are believed to be Colombian tourists.
Paez reported that because two of the bodies were "completely burned," it has made it difficult for forensic teams to quickly complete identification.
