On the second day of the Zero Waste Festival, important messages were delivered on the axes of environment, economy, art, and technology with the participation of Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar. The Haberler.com stand set up in the festival area stood out as one of the busiest visitor spots on the second day. In this special area prepared with the slogan "Zero Waste in the Digital World," eco-friendly digital habits were explained, raising awareness about sustainable technology use and digital cleaning.

While visitors participated in interactive activities, the "Garbage Atlas" theater show prepared especially for children drew great interest. The Haberler.com stand attracted attention throughout the day with its work combining environmental awareness and digital transformation.

EMİNE ERDOĞAN'S GLOBAL CALL

Speaking at the opening of the Zero Waste Forum 2026, Emine Erdoğan emphasized that zero waste is not just an environmental policy but also a global responsibility concerning humanity's shared future. Noting that representatives from 183 countries gathered in Istanbul, Erdoğan stated that the culture of waste deepens the climate crisis and said that zero waste should be considered a climate action before the COP31 Climate Summit.

MINISTER KACIR: WE ARE BUILDING A NEW CULTURE OF LIVING

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that the zero waste approach offers not only an environmental transformation but also an economic and technological transformation model. Expressing that Turkey is accelerating its green transformation investments, Kacır said they aim to achieve sustainable development goals through projects that strengthen the circular economy and technology-focused investments.

MINISTER BAYRAKTAR: ENERGY EFFICIENCY IS NOW A NECESSITY

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar also highlighted that energy efficiency and the zero waste approach are two complementary important elements. Stating that the Zero Waste Movement has turned into a strong environmental brand on an international scale, Bayraktar announced that all electricity used during the festival would be supplied from renewable sources and that the event would be the world's first YEK-G certified festival.

During the panels held as part of the Zero Waste Forum, circular economy, combating climate change, resource efficiency, and zero waste policies were discussed.
