A pickup truck drove into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. Police reported that, according to initial findings, 10 people were killed and at least 35 were injured. The incident occurred at 03:15 local time at the intersection of Canal and Bourbon streets, where New Year's celebrations were taking place in the area known as the "French Quarter." It was reported that the driver of the vehicle that plowed into the crowd exited the vehicle and opened fire afterward.

IDENTITY REVEALED
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a written statement regarding the attack. The statement revealed that the assailant was 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar from Texas, USA. It was stated that the assailant carried out the attack with a rented pickup truck, and investigations are still ongoing regarding how he obtained the vehicle.
