Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated, "On December 8, it will be one year since the end of the oppression of Assad. Since December 8, I am telling you for the first time, the number of our Syrian brothers who have voluntarily returned has reached 550,000."

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who came to Kilis, attended the 'Vefa Meetings' organized by the AK Party Provincial Presidency. In his statement, Minister Yerlikaya said, "We have come from a Turkey waiting at the door of the IMF to a Turkey that makes its own decisions, standing strong both at the table and in the field. The loudest voice at the UN podium against the genocide happening in Gaza has once again been our President. The call that 'the world is bigger than five' is a universal manifesto of this honorable stance.

"IT IS THE RESULT OF A STRONG WILL"

This is not just a sentence among sentences; it is the epic of standing up for humanity's conscience. Today, if the local production rate in our defense industry has exceeded 80%, if our UAVs and drones are writing epics in the skies, if TCG Anadolu is advancing through the blue waters, if the sounds of our KAAN and Gökbey are echoing in the skies, if the Altay tank is shaking the places we step on, all these successes are the result of a high vision and a strong will," he said.

"TURKEY HAS ADOPTED AN UNDERSTANDING THAT PLACES HUMAN DIGNITY AT THE CENTER OF MIGRATION"

Minister Yerlikaya, recalling that the civil war in Syria has ended regarding migration, stated, "Those who fall from the roof understand the situation of those who fall from the roof.' Today, the issue of migration is on the agenda of the whole world, but first, let us ask my brothers from Kilis what irregular migration means and what it means to embrace the oppressed. In terms of migration, Turkey has adopted an understanding that institutionalizes conscience and compassion, placing human dignity at its center. In this respect, it is an example to the whole world. Our principle is law, conscience, and our civilizational values. Under the leadership of our President, we have not taken a single step back from these principles. Regarding Syria, just like in Gaza, we stand by the right, the just, and the oppressed," he said.

"550,000 SYRIANS RETURNED TO THEIR COUNTRY IN 1 YEAR"

We have never turned our backs on those on the brink of oppression, hunger, and war, on our geographical heart. We have never ignored their cries. On December 8, it will be one year since the end of the oppression of Assad. For the first time since December 8, I am telling you that the number of our Syrian brothers who have voluntarily returned has reached 550,000."

"WE CONTINUE TO FIGHT AGAINST CRIME SYNDICATES"

Minister Yerlikaya stated that they are working for the peace and security of Turkey, saying, "As the Ministry of Interior, we exist for the peace of Turkey. There is vigilance at the border, and patrols in the streets. There is surveillance in the cyber world 24/7. We are on the trail of crime, we are on the heels of criminals. We are by the side of our citizens. With this understanding, we are relentlessly continuing our fight against public order incidents, organized crime syndicates, and drug traffickers. We are protecting our children, our youth, our families, and our future. We are everywhere: in front of schools, in neighborhoods, in cyberspace, and at border lines."

"WITH THE NEW LAW, EVERYONE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE IN TRAFFIC"

Minister Yerlikaya expressed that they are working to establish a traffic culture, stating, "We have another very important duty as a ministry. That is traffic safety. To establish a traffic culture and ensure the principle of deterrence in penalties, our AK Party group has prepared a New Traffic Law Proposal. When our esteemed Parliament approves this law, everyone who gets behind the wheel will behave more responsibly. They will not be able to weave in and out of traffic, drift, or block the road at their leisure. They will think twice before violating red lights or exceeding speed limits. Once the New Traffic Law Proposal becomes law, the driver's license of those who do not comply with the 'stop' order will be revoked for 60 days, their vehicle will be banned from traffic for 60 days, and they will also pay a fine of 200,000 TL. We must establish this traffic culture for our children, for our future," he said.
