Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who suffered a heart attack and had a torn aorta, is currently receiving treatment in intensive care following a 12-hour surgery. While Önder's life remains at risk, doctors have started a strong antibiotic treatment due to the danger of infection. The treatment of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who suffered a heart attack and an aortic rupture, continues in intensive care after a 12-hour surgery. Recently, Habertürk reporter Gizem Türemen reported on Sırrı Süreyya Önder's current condition from outside the hospital.
MINISTER OF HEALTH: NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN HIS CONDITION
In a statement made at midnight, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu said that Sırrı Süreyya Önder's great resilience so far has given them hope.
Emphasizing that Önder is one of Turkey's valuable people, Memişoğlu stated, "He has shown great resilience so far. This resilience gives us hope. The entire team is with him, using all their strength and knowledge to help him. He is fighting for a long time connected to machines in intensive care. We are waiting for all of you, from Turkey, to pray for such a positive person to rejoin us."
Memişoğlu, who spoke about the doctors, health personnel, and Önder's current condition, noted:
"This is a very major surgery, as a surgeon I say. I especially thank the teams that performed this. Here, we all expect him to recover and rejoin us. There is no significant change in his condition. When there is a change in his condition, our physician friends will inform us. We have prayed."
DOCTORS' STATEMENT
A new statement was made by new doctors yesterday at 12:20 PM. Prof. Dr. Çavlan Çiftçi stated that there is no problem with blood pressure and that Önder has responded very positively to treatments.
Continuing his explanation, Çiftçi said, "The left ventricle is contracting very well. Our patient's blood pressure is around 110/60. The contraction defect of the right ventricle continues. We need a serious amount of time." He added, "My prediction is that he can be sedated between 10-40."
Çiftçi also added that infection is their biggest concern, stating, "He is receiving strong antibiotics. Our intensive care process continues." Çiftçi mentioned that Önder is responding to sounds and reacting.
HIS DAUGHTER SHARED THE LATEST STATUS
Önder's daughter, Ceren Önder Kandemir, provided information about her father's latest condition through a post on her social media account.
Starting her post with "I want to inform his loved ones about the situation," Kandemir said, "My father's condition is stable, but he still has a high risk of life. Every day he remains stable is a reason for us to be grateful."
Kandemir continued her post with the following statements:
"Valuable professors and their esteemed teams are doing everything they can to keep him alive. The hospital is overflowing with loved ones, and I am sure he can feel everyone who comes and prays for him. The news that 'his condition is improving' is not far beyond our wishes, but what is called a wish is not insignificant. I will try to keep you as informed as possible. A thousand greetings."
"THE DOCTORS' BIGGEST CONCERN..."
In a briefing made by Habertürk reporter Gizem Türemen from outside the hospital in the morning, she stated, "We received information that he will be sedated for 5 days, but this period may be longer. It could be 5 days, 10 days, or even longer. It may vary depending on his response to treatment. The doctors provided hopeful news. They said that Sırrı Süreyya Önder has at least responded and has positively reacted to the treatment. They mentioned that he has given small reactions with eyebrow, eye, and hand movements and that he can hear sounds. The doctors are evaluating these developments positively. However, Önder's life-threatening condition continues. He is in intensive care connected to a heart-lung machine. He is connected to the heart-lung machine due to a lack of blood circulation. There is fatigue in the heart because he suffered a heart attack and an aortic rupture. Therefore, the doctors are allowing him to rest. Some precautions have been taken.
