During a student support demonstration held in Ankara in the evening, a brief tension occurred between CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal and the police. During the incident, a police officer fell to the ground, and the officer did not accept Tanal's apology.
Recently, Mahmut Tanal, who has frequently been in the news for his statements that repeat sentences one after another and his support for protests, participated in the demonstration on Yüksel Street to support the students.
WANTED TO HOLD A SIT-IN
CHP member Tanal went to the students after sharing on social media, "I am at Yüksel Street, in front of the Human Rights Monument due to a violation of rights." After a while, Tanal, who asked the students to end their protest, announced that he would continue his sit-in.
POLICE FELL
During the protest, when police teams intervened, a brief scuffle occurred between Tanal and a police officer. At that moment, the officer lost his balance and fell to the ground, and Tanal tried to help the officer up and said, "I apologize." However, the police officer did not accept Tanal's apology.
