The incident occurred on August 2. Mehmet Tuğra, 42, who suddenly fell ill, applied to the emergency service of a private hospital. After the initial evaluation, it was determined that his health condition was serious, and he was taken under treatment with the rapid intervention of the health teams. As his condition worsened, the patient was intubated in the emergency room, and CPR was also administered by the health teams.
THE AMBULANCE TURNED BACK FROM THE ROAD
After the initial intervention, it was decided to transfer him by ambulance to Kahramanmaraş State Hospital for further examination and treatment. While the patient was being taken to the hospital by ambulance, his heart stopped again, and he was intervened on once more. The patient was brought back to the private hospital by ambulance within about 1 minute, where CPR and necessary medical interventions were again performed. His heart was restarted with the intervention of the health teams, and he was transferred back to the state hospital for advanced treatment and taken under care.

After the operation at the state hospital, the patient's health improved, and he regained his health upon completion of the treatment process. After this critical period, Mehmet Tuğra, who clung to life again, did not forget the emergency doctor who performed the first intervention on him. The patient visited Emergency Physician Dr. Bintünnur Ekremoğlu at the hospital where she works and thanked her by giving her the bouquet of flowers he had brought.
Stating that he felt an extraordinary change in himself when he woke up in the morning, he said, "It raised a suspicion of a crisis in me. I felt I needed to go to a health facility as soon as possible. My body gave enough of a reaction to this situation. I came to the hospital's emergency room quickly. I arrived here quickly; my teacher was on duty here on Sunday, thank goodness. I thank him very much."
HE WENT SAYING "I THINK I'M HAVING A HEART ATTACK"
Dr. Bintünnur Ekremoğlu, who performed the patient's first intervention, said, "Mr. Mehmet noticed it very early. He is a conscious person. He came saying 'My chest hurts, I think I'm having a heart attack.' He also described his symptoms perfectly. Of course, we performed our first intervention here with our team immediately. We confirmed our diagnosis with tests and started the referral process for further intervention to the nearest place.
"HE WAS ABLE TO OVERCOME IT WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE"
Our patient's heart stopped twice. For the referral, we sent him off while he was still conscious. On the way, his heart stopped in the ambulance, but our team there immediately informed us. They said, 'We are returning, we are near your hospital.' They came back. We met them right at the door with massage. We started CPR immediately and took him to the intervention room. We had started massage on the stretcher. The important thing here was that the patient should not be deprived of oxygen; we needed to maintain his circulation. Both his breathing and circulation had stopped. We had to intubate him. But fortunately, because the time he was without oxygen was very short, he was able to overcome that period without any damage to the brain or body.
"HE HAD OVERCOME SOMETHING VERY DANGEROUS"
Our rapid intervention saved us there. While we were intervening here, his heart stopped once more. Then he didn't regain consciousness, but once his heart started beating normally, we ensured his transfer to the appropriate place with a team including a doctor. The gentleman came in very conscious. He came straight to the intervention room and lay down on the stretcher. Even though there was no such history in his family and he had no chronic illness, he noticed the situation. He is very young, after all. We learned about it later. There was a blockage in two major vessels feeding the heart, to a very large extent. He had overcome something very dangerous. We were able to help him as well," she said.
On the other hand, the moments of the patient receiving CPR in the hospital, being taken into the ambulance, and the ambulance returning to the hospital and performing CPR on the patient were also reflected in the hospital's security cameras.
