With the start of the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday in the Bodrum district of Muğla, vehicle congestion occurred on the entry arteries; inspections were carried out by police teams.
Citizens who wanted to spend the Eid al-Adha holiday in Bodrum, one of the important tourism centers, set out with their private vehicles after the end of the workday.
HOLIDAY DENSITY AT THE CITY ENTRANCE
Traffic mobility increased at the entrance points of the district from the evening hours onwards. Bodrum District Police Department teams conducted traffic and public order inspections at the Torba Checkpoint to ensure safe holiday travel.
STRICT INSPECTION BY POLICE TEAMS
During the approximately 2-hour operation, vehicles entering the district were stopped, and General Information Scanning (GBT) checks were performed on drivers and passengers. Traffic teams also warned drivers about speed limits, seat belt use, and not using mobile phones while driving.
It was reported that police teams will continue their inspections uninterruptedly during the holiday for the peace and safety of citizens.
