Güney D., 44, who was sitting by the seaside with his family in the Konak district of İzmir, began arguing with a person who made a remark to them. In the incident, which quickly turned into a fight, the attacker bit Güney D.'s ear and tore off a piece. While efforts were launched to catch the suspect who fled the scene, the severed piece of ear could not be found despite all searches.
REMARK ARGUMENT TURNED INTO A FIGHT
The incident occurred around 22:00 at Konak Beach in Konak Neighborhood. Güney D. (44), who was spending time by the seaside with his family, began arguing with an unidentified person who made a remark to them.
As the argument quickly escalated, a fight broke out between the parties. The suspect beat Güney D. and bit his left ear, tearing off a piece. The attacker quickly left the area after the incident.
SEVERED EAR PIECE COULD NOT BE FOUND
While people around rushed to help Güney D., who was in pain, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene after a report.
Medical personnel provided first aid to the injured man at the scene. Meanwhile, family members and police teams searched the surrounding area to find the piece torn from Güney D.'s ear. However, despite all efforts, the severed ear piece could not be found.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
After first aid at the scene, Güney D. was taken by ambulance to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital and placed under treatment.
POLICE SEARCHING FOR THE ATTACKER
Police teams launched an investigation to identify and catch the suspect who fled after the incident. The investigation into the incident continues.
