In Diyarbakır, Sultan Akdemir, who was in the process of divorce, was attacked with a gun by her husband E.A. when she met him to see their child. Akdemir, who was shot multiple times with a pistol, died in the hospital where she was taken, while the attacker husband took their child and fled the scene.
A woman was killed in a gun attack by her husband while she was holding her child in the Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır. The moment of the attack was captured second by second on security camera.
HE CALLED HER TO THE PARK ON THE PRETEXT OF SEEING THE CHILD
In Diyarbakır, E.A., from whom she had been living separately for about 2 months and was in the process of divorce, called Sultan Akdemir (32) to a park on the pretext of seeing their child and fired multiple shots with a pistol. Akdemir, who was seriously injured, died at the hospital where she was taken. E.A. fled the scene, taking the child with him.
The incident occurred in the evening hours in front of a park on İstasyon Boulevard in Şehitlik Neighborhood.
According to the allegation, Sultan Akdemir, who was in the process of divorcing her husband E.A., from whom she had been living separately for about 2 months due to domestic violence, went to the meeting point after her husband called her to the park on the pretext of seeing their child.
E.A. wanted to take the child from Sultan Akdemir and leave. At that moment, an argument broke out between the couple.
HE FIRED SHOTS IN SUCCESSION WITH A PISTOL
As the argument escalated, E.A. pulled out the pistol he had brought with him and fired at Sultan Akdemir in succession.
While Akdemir, hit by the bullets, collapsed to the ground, E.A. fled the scene, taking the child with him.
Upon reports from those around, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Akdemir, seriously injured, was taken to Dicle University Hospital after initial intervention at the scene.
SHE DIED AT THE HOSPITAL
Sultan Akdemir, who was taken under treatment, could not be saved despite all medical interventions. Akdemir's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, the moment of the attack was reflected on the security camera of a nearby business. In the footage, it is seen that while E.A. was pulling out his pistol, Sultan Akdemir tried to grab her husband's hand, and a brief scuffle occurred between the two.
Police teams launched efforts to capture E.A., who fled with the child after the incident.
