In the Avanos district of Nevşehir, one of the geese under the protection of municipal teams was found with its head cut off.
IT WAS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION FOR DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN TOURISTS
One of the geese, which created beautiful images on the Kızılırmak River in Avanos district and attracted the attention of domestic and foreign tourists, was found dead with its head cut off in a park near the river.
THE MAYOR REVOLTED
Mustafa Kenan Sarıtaş, the Mayor of Avanos, reacted to the situation on his social media account, saying, "The heinous violence against our geese, which are under the protection of our municipality, the symbol of Avanos and the joy of the Kızılırmak, is inhuman. What was done to this innocent creature, whose neck was severed and thrown aside, is incompatible with conscience and humanity. Some human scum who haunt our green areas along the Kızılırmak are harming the environment and living beings. Those who previously broke gazebos and benches have now beheaded and killed a goose in the same place. Torturing a living being in its incubation and hatching period is neither a display of power nor a behavior that can be considered normal. We curse those responsible for this painful incident."
