There are hours left until the draw in Istanbul for the 'Housing Project of the Century,' one of Turkey's largest social housing initiatives. The massive event, where 100 thousand homes will find their owners, will last 3 days. The ceremony, which will be held with the participation of President Erdoğan, will take place tomorrow at Atatürk Airport National Garden.
The draw for the project implemented by TOKİ, affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, will start on April 25 (tomorrow) in Istanbul. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister Murat Kurum will attend the ceremony to be held at the Atatürk Airport National Garden.
OWNERS OF 100 THOUSAND HOUSES TO BE DETERMINED
The rightful owners of 100 thousand social housing units to be built across Istanbul will be determined through draws lasting 3 days. Minister Murat Kurum announced the start of the process in a post on his social media account, saying, "The awaited day has come, this time the homeowner is Istanbul."
SPECIAL INCOME CONDITION FOR ISTANBUL
Special income criteria are applied for Istanbul in the project. Accordingly, the monthly net income of the household applying must be at most 145 thousand TL for Istanbul. For other provinces, this limit has been set at 127 thousand TL.
PAYMENT TERMS AND HOUSING TYPES
In the project, 1+1 and 2+1 apartment options will be offered for Istanbul. The houses will be given to low-income citizens with a 10 percent down payment, a 240-month term, and installments starting from 7,313 TL.
