The Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) launched an investigation into Ankara Western Republic Prosecutor Ahmet Yıkılmaz over bribery allegations. Yıkılmaz is alleged to have received a $300,000 bribe in exchange for lifting the asset freeze in the "Iron Fist" case.
An investigation has been launched by the First Chamber of the Board of Judges and Prosecutors regarding allegations about Ahmet Yıkılmaz, former Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Ankara, who currently serves as a Public Prosecutor in Ankara West.
BRIBERY ALLEGATION ENTERS INDICTMENT
In the indictment prepared regarding the assassination attempt allegation against Aziz İhsan Aktaş, a confessor in the investigations into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), bribery allegations were included about Ankara West Public Prosecutor Ahmet Yıkılmaz.
$300,000 BRIBE
According to news in Sabah; the indictment alleges that Yıkılmaz, who conducted the "Iron Fist" investigation, received a bribe of $300,000 in exchange for lifting the precautionary measure on the assets of Çağrı Silahtaroğlu, who was tried in the same case, and that the measure was thus lifted.
HSK LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION
It was learned that following these allegations, the First Chamber of the HSK launched an investigation into Ahmet Yıkılmaz, and the process is being conducted meticulously.
Yıkılmaz previously served as Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Ankara.
