The "Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue" organized by HÜDA PAR in Diyarbakır brought together significant figures in politics. Following the workshop, which included many participants such as AK Party MKYK member Orhan Miroğlu, the statements in the published declaration sparked controversy. The HÜDA PAR workshop was attended by AK Party MKYK Member Orhan Miroğlu, AK Party Diyarbakır Deputy Galip Ensarioğlu, former AK Party deputies Mehmet Metiner and Abdurrahman Kurt, and figures like Mustafa Armağan from Yeni Akit.

THE DECLARATION SPARKED DEBATE

The declaration published after the workshop included demands such as opening the way for education in the mother tongue, constitutional guarantees for Kurdish, amending the constitution, and abandoning the definition that "everyone is Turkish." It was also emphasized that "the coup constitution, which is a product of the Kemalist mentality that constitutes the source of the Kurdish issue, must be changed."

UÇUM: BETRAYALS TO THE GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY ARE INCREASING SHAMELESSLY

Presidential Senior Advisor Mehmet Uçum reacted harshly to the declaration, describing the workshop as "betrayal." In a statement on his social media account, Uçum said, "Betrayals to the goal of a terror-free Turkey are increasing shamelessly."

Uçum included the following statements in his post: "The impact of the State Initiative, which was activated by Mr. Bahçeli's moves and President Erdoğan's approaches on October 1 and thereafter, is that all proponents of the imperialist division project are being exposed one by one.

Those who exploited the new era initiated to completely eliminate the terrorism problem have reached the peak of audacity. Those who refer to the imperialist external Kurdish issue project aimed at dividing Turkey and claim to hold a humanitarian solution workshop have openly and shamelessly declared their support for the division of Turkey with their final declaration."

METİNER RESPONDED TO UÇUM WITHOUT NAMING HIM

Former AK Party deputy Mehmet Metiner, who made a presentation at the workshop, responded to Uçum without naming him. In a post on his social media account, Metiner used the following expressions; "I am an AK Party member, not one of those who appear to be AK Party members. I am someone who defends the founding spirit of our Leader and our AK Party on every platform I attend. In the presentation I made at the workshop organized by HÜDA PAR in Diyarbakır, I expressed the thoughts I have defended in my columns and on screens until today."

Metiner stated that he found the term "Kurdish issue" to be incorrect, saying, "I believe that the understanding of a single state, single nation, single flag, and single homeland is in line with our creed and historical experience. For this reason, demands for ethnic-based federation and autonomy lead to division," he said.

Metiner emphasized that the official language and the language of education should only be Turkish, stating that other languages can be learned and taught in the public sphere. He also said, "It is wrong to separate our cities as Turkish or Kurdish. We are both Turkish and Kurdish and Arab; we are together Turkey." Metiner also supported Bahçeli's call for the terrorist organization to unconditionally lay down its arms.
