Hundreds of vehicles kept in parking lots belonging to different companies in Büyükçekmece were captured from the air by a drone. In a statement made by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund, it was stated that the vehicles in question are under receivership, official determinations have been made for all of them, and there is no irregular situation.
In images captured from above of vehicles of various brands and models located in two separate parking lots in Büyükçekmece, a large number of minibuses, buses, and trucks that have been parked for a long time drew attention. It was observed that the areas were surrounded by fences and protected with security measures.
VEHICLES UNDER TMSF CONTROL
In a statement made by the TMSF, it was emphasized that all vehicles subject to the images reflected in the public are under Fund supervision, stating, 'The vehicles are being kept under the control and supervision of the TMSF committee. Detailed technical examinations have been carried out on the vehicles with expert reviews, and official reports have been prepared for each vehicle. The prepared site determination reports have been submitted to the relevant court as part of the concordat process.'
834 VEHICLES IN TWO SEPARATE PARKING LOTS
The statement also noted that a total of 834 vehicles are located in two separate parking lots belonging to various companies, and that security services have been procured since October 1, 2025, following the appointment of the TMSF as trustee.
In the statement, which also provided details about the prolonged parking of the vehicles, it was stated, 'At the end of 2025, a withdrawal from traffic process was carried out for vehicles kept in the parking lot to avoid motor vehicle tax, inspection, and compulsory traffic insurance costs.'
The TMSF also announced that applications have been made to relevant courts for the valuation of the vehicles within the scope of the trusteeship and concordat process.
In the continuation of the statement, addressing allegations in the public, it was said, 'Consequently, there are no vehicles that have not been secured. The emblems on the vehicles belong to organizations that previously provided services but whose contract periods have expired.' It was observed that the vehicles in the parking lots captured from the air were parked orderly and kept under security measures.
