Yasemin Şefkatli, who married singer İdo Tatlıses in 2021, gave birth to her twin babies last January. The famous couple named their sons İbrahim Ayel and Sinan Emir. The couple's babies, who are only 1 year old, underwent surgery due to a congenital eye condition.
The twins' mother, Yasemin Şefkatli, shared a post on her social media account, updating her followers on her children's health status and the details of the process. "We came home by the way. I think we are good except for a little discomfort and some swelling," said Şefkatli, announcing that the recovery process has begun.
Mother Şefkatli also shared details about the condition that is not visible but directly affects the children's quality of life. She stated that the twins were born with blocked tear ducts and summarized the process as follows: "Since many people are asking about the process, let me summarize briefly. Our tear ducts were blocked from birth. They recommended massage until the age of 1, and if it doesn't open, a small operation. Of course, I asked those around me who experienced this, and many said it opened on its own later. They advised against the procedure. Now, this is such a thing that the children wake up every morning with their eyes crusted like an infection, unable to open them, and constantly scratching their eyes, causing wounds and irritation. You can't say let's wait anymore at that point; they say it could be permanent... Therefore, doctor supervision is very important here. To ease our minds, maybe you can get one or two more opinions from other doctors; sometimes there is a possibility of it closing again. Now we will use our medications and continue with the massage for a few more days and see; I always think positively, it has passed and is over.
