İkbal Uzuner had blamed Semih Çelik's family: The reaction to his mother was 'Demet Akalın'.

Famous artist Demet Akalın strongly reacted to the statements made by Hafize Çelik, the mother of Semih Çelik, the murderer who committed suicide after killing a young girl, in which she blamed İkbal Uzuner's family. Akalın criticized the mother through social media.

Semih Çelik's murder of two young women aged 19 has caused a great shock in Turkey. Çelik's father, Adem Çelik, told the police that his son had killed Ayşenur Halil, who was his girlfriend, and İkbal Uzuner, who was a school friend. The father stated that his son had psychological issues and had received treatment before.

'I WARNED İKBAL'S FAMILY ABOUT MY SON'

Semih's mother, Hafize Çelik, expressed that her son was prone to suicide, saying, "If he was going to do it to himself, he shouldn't have done it to them." She also mentioned that she had warned İkbal's family, emphasizing that İkbal constantly disturbed her son. Hafize Çelik said,

"Everyone is angry with us. If my child was going to do such a thing... If he was going to do it to himself, he shouldn't have done it to them! My child was prone to suicide, but I never would have guessed he would do it this way. He had committed suicide, but I never thought he would do such a thing. My child is not that kind of child. He was sick; I took him from doctor to doctor. I did everything I could, but İkbal never left him alone, she kept calling. In 2021, she sent him a video saying, 'I will gouge your eyes out,' and how is she still keeping that girl in Istanbul? What would you do if such a video came to your child? They only changed the school transfer. As a mother, I warned İkbal's mother and father a lot. Believe me, I warned them a lot. I told them to 'disappear.' I said, 'My child says he won't do it, but he will.' I said, 'I don't trust my child; my child is not normal.' They said they had just moved into a new house, how would they do anything... I said, 'Is your child more important or your house?'"

'THE PSYCHOPATH SON WILL WAIT FOR THE NEXT VICTIM'

These statements sparked a huge backlash on social media, while famous artist Demet Akalın also expressed her outrage, saying, "The psychopath son will live comfortably, waiting for the next victim. Indeed, he killed the other girlfriend too!"
