Master actor of Yeşilçam, Kadir İnanır, who passed away at the hospital where he was being treated, is being laid to rest. As emotional moments unfolded beside his coffin brought to Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque, actor İlyas Salman could not hold back his tears. Salman, who kissed the photograph on Kadir İnanır's coffin, burst into tears.
A funeral ceremony was held for Kadir İnanır, the master of Turkish cinema, who passed away at the age of 77 on Friday at the hospital where he was receiving treatment in Istanbul, at the Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu, General Director of Cinema Birol Güven, General Director of State Theaters Tamer Karadağlı, former Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, and İBB Deputy Chairman Nuri Aslan, as well as many figures from cinema, politics, and the art world.
After the first ceremony, the master artist's body was brought to Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque. İnanır will be laid to rest in the Ulus Cemetery following the funeral prayer to be held here.
