In the Bodrum district of Muğla, a motorcycle struck mosque imam Metin Suntay as he was trying to cross the road. The imam died at the hospital he was taken to, while the motorcycle driver Harun K. continues to receive treatment.
In the Bodrum district of Muğla, mosque imam Metin Suntay (58) lost his life after being struck by a motorcycle while trying to cross the road. The injured motorcycle driver, Harun K. (44), is continuing treatment at the hospital.
HE WAS TRYING TO CROSS THE ROAD
The accident occurred around 20:00 on Atatürk Boulevard in Bitez Mahallesi. The motorcycle with license plate 48 BAJ 709, driven by Harun K., struck Metin Suntay, the imam of Yakaköy Mosque, who was trying to cross the road. In the accident, both the motorcycle driver Harun K. and imam Suntay were injured. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. The injured were given first aid at the scene and then taken to Bodrum State Hospital. Despite all interventions, Suntay lost his life.
MOTORCYCLE DRIVER IN SERIOUS CONDITION
The motorcycle driver Harun K., who is in serious condition, continues to receive treatment.
