The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has gone on alert at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan while the interrogation of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was detained as part of a double investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), continues in the city reconciliation investigation.
SECURITY MEASURES HAVE BEEN INCREASED
Prosecutor's office sources indicate that Ekrem İmamoğlu may be transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan at around 21:00 this evening as part of the ongoing investigation. Accordingly, security measures have been increased around the courthouse, similar to the days when İmamoğlu gave his statement and when Ümit Özdağ, the leader of the Victory Party, was arrested during municipal operations. Police have closed off some points around Çağlayan Square and Abide-i Hürriyet Avenue with barriers. Water cannons and riot police vehicles have been deployed to the area.
HIS STATEMENT IN THE CITY RECONCILIATION INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was detained as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the "City Reconciliation" and the tender investigation concerning some of its subsidiaries, including "Media AŞ," is facing charges of "establishing, managing, and being a member of an organization for the purpose of committing a crime," "bribery," "interfering with a tender," "interfering with the performance of a duty," "extortion," and "qualified fraud." His statement regarding the "City Reconciliation" allegations is still ongoing at the police station.

İMAMOĞLU DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS
In his statement at the police station, İmamoğlu responded to all questions directed at him based on the statements of secret witnesses by saying, "I do not consider this question. I vehemently deny all allegations." İmamoğlu also denied other allegations, stating, "While Turkey has many issues that need national and international solutions, the questions asked above have shown that I have been detained based on baseless accusations consisting of setups, fabrications, lies, and conspiracy theories, which is very unfortunate for the reputation of our country and the world, and for the experience of democracy and justice being undermined."
"HE WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE AROUND 21:00 TODAY"
In a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was said, "It is planned that the suspects detained in the investigations regarding İmamoğlu's organized crime group and assistance to the PKK/KCK terrorist organization will be presented at our courthouse tomorrow at around 21:00."
