In an interview, Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is detained in Silivri Prison, used scathing words for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP Chairmanship seat through an absolute nullity decision. İmamoğlu said, "As we see, those who bend over backward to become trustees are essentially fleeing from the congress. They are ashamed of the CHP delegates. I recommend that our people not take this person seriously to avoid disturbing their peace, because Turkey has far more important and serious issues than him."
Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is detained in Silivri Prison, made striking statements about Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the position of general chairperson in the CHP after the absolute nullity decision.
When asked about Kılıçdaroğlu's statements in an interview with İlke TV regarding initiating a "purification" process within the party and leading the CHP to a new congress, İmamoğlu used harsh language.
"I RECOMMEND NOT TAKING THIS PERSON SERIOUSLY"
İmamoğlu said, "I don't know what the internal malevolent trustee thinks, nor am I interested. I recommend our people not to take this person seriously so their peace is not disturbed. Because Turkey has much more important and serious issues than him."
"THE CHP IS BEING PULLED AWAY FROM THE NATION'S AGENDA"
Arguing that the Republican People's Party is being deliberately distanced from the country's agenda, İmamoğlu claimed that the government does not want the CHP to discuss issues of the economy, unemployment, retirees, and youth.
İmamoğlu stated, "The ambitious ones are closing off a party that has grown the hope of millions, become the number one party in Turkey, and is moving toward power, isolating it within itself, and trying to divert its energy away from the nation's problems."
"WE ARE RUNNING, THEY ARE FLEEING"
Criticizing some names within the party in his statements, İmamoğlu said, "We are running, they are fleeing. When a by-election is mentioned, there is silence. When the economy is mentioned, there is silence. When deeds are scattered about, again there is silence. The response is presented to us as a coup."
"THE NATION WILL GIVE ITS GRADE"
Stating that he is focused on Turkey's future, İmamoğlu expressed that he is considering work to be done in the fields of economy, industry, agriculture, and national security, and said, "The nation will give its grade anyway. I love them very much, I trust them greatly."
At the end of his statement, İmamoğlu said, "The nation will give its grade to both the internal malevolent trustee and those from whom he takes orders, who plan to trample on the nation's will."

Regarding the congress process that has been on the CHP's agenda for some time and discussions about a new party, İmamoğlu gave the message, "We are ready politically, spiritually, and physically."
