IMM AKOM announced Istanbul's weekly weather forecast report: Temperatures expected to remain at seasonal norms throughout the week due to the northeasterly wind will give way to thunderstorms on Friday.
The Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality shared the city's weekly weather forecast report. According to the report, sunny and cool weather with the effect of the northeasterly wind will prevail until mid-week, while thunderstorms and showers are expected on Friday.
NORTHEASTERLY WIND WILL BALANCE THE TEMPERATURE
In Istanbul, where a partly and mostly clear sky is forecast throughout the week, the northeasterly wind blowing from northern directions is expected to reach speeds of 20 to 50 kilometers per hour. The strong wind, which will carry the relatively cool air of the north to the city, will prevent temperatures from rising excessively. Throughout the week, thermometers are expected to range between 28 and 31 degrees Celsius during the daytime.
WEEKLY TEMPERATURE VALUES
According to AKOM's data, the expected minimum and maximum air temperatures in the city throughout the week are listed as follows:
- Tomorrow: 21 / 29 °C
- September 4: 21 / 27 °C
- September 5: 21 / 31 °C
- September 6: 22 / 32 °C
- September 7: 21 / 28 °C
- September 8: 20 / 27 °C
Due to the thunderstorms and showers expected on Friday, citizens are advised to be cautious against sudden rainfall.
