As part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 12 out of 17 suspects who were detained, including Buse İskenderoğlu, the winner of Miss Turkey 2016, were arrested by the court, while 5 others were released.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau is continuing its investigation into 'manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic substances', 'providing special places, equipment, or materials to facilitate the use of narcotic or stimulant substances and taking measures to make it difficult for users to be caught', 'purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic or stimulant substances for use', 'using narcotic or stimulant substances', and 'promoting and facilitating prostitution' against famous individuals.
17 SUSPECTS DETAINED
As part of the investigation, 17 suspects, including Miss Turkey 2016 beauty and actress Buse İskenderoğlu, were detained, and substances deemed to be narcotics, as well as unlicensed weapons and ammunition, were seized at businesses named 'Amaya', 'Bebek Hotel', 'Suma Han', 'Kastel Elektromüzik', and 'Taksim Club IQ'.
After completing their procedures at the police station, the suspects were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse located in Çağlayan.
12 SUSPECTS, INCLUDING BUSE İSKENDEROĞLU, ARRESTED
Among the suspects who gave statements to the prosecutor's office, Dilara Ege Ç., Buse İskenderoğlu, Tuğrul A., Zohaer M., Yılmaz E., Cengiz Can A., Resul A., Burak G., Ömer Can K., Yasin Burak B., Cihan G., and Rabia K. were sent to prison by the duty magistrate with a request for arrest.
The suspects Şebnem İ., Nilay Didem K., Rabia Y., and Emrah G. were released under judicial control measures by the duty magistrate, while suspect Muhammed Zeki G. was released after his statement to the prosecutor's office.
