In Diyarbakır, a family dispute over "land disagreement" ended in bloodshed.

The rural Alibardak neighborhood of the Sur district in Diyarbakır was embroiled in a "land dispute" that pitted two families against each other. According to allegations, a disagreement between the two families quickly escalated into a stone-throwing, club-wielding, and armed brawl.

1 PERSON DEAD, 4 INJURED

In the ensuing fight, 5 people were injured, 1 of whom is in serious condition. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The injured were taken to various hospitals in the city after the initial intervention at the scene. One of the injured, Veysi İ. (30), died at Dicle University Medical Faculty Hospital. The body of the deceased Veysi İ. was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue for autopsy.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

Gendarmerie teams took security measures at the entrances and exits of the neighborhood. Some suspects were taken to the police station for questioning. The investigation launched regarding the incident is ongoing.
