An investigation was launched against a worker employed at the municipality in the Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır on allegations of harassment of a 13-year-old girl. R.Ö., who was detained upon the family's complaint, was arrested by the court and sent to prison. Following the incident, the municipality terminated the employment contract of the suspect personnel.
R.Ö., an employee of the municipality in the Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır, was arrested on charges of harassment against a 13-year-old girl. It was reported that the incident came to light after the child told her family about the situation.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED FOLLOWING THE FAMILY'S COMPLAINT
According to the allegation, R.Ö., who worked as a laborer at the Yenişehir Municipality, harassed the 13-year-old child. After the child told her family what happened, the family went to the police and filed a complaint.
Following the complaint, R.Ö. was taken into custody, and his procedures at the police station were completed. The suspect was then referred to the courthouse.
SENT TO PRISON
R.Ö. was arrested by the Diyarbakır 2nd Criminal Court of Peace and sent to prison.
MUNICIPALITY TERMINATED THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
Following the incident, the Yenişehir Municipality also initiated proceedings against the relevant personnel. It was learned that the municipality terminated R.Ö.'s employment contract.
