The fire broke out in the afternoon in the village of Kışlacık, affiliated with the Kemaliye district. In the fire that started in a house for reasons not yet determined, the flames spread to other nearby houses due to the effect of the wind.
Upon the report of the fire engulfing the houses, numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the region. As the teams intervened, the fire was brought under control, and it was reported that 8 damaged houses became unusable. An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the fire.
In a statement made on his social media account, Kemaliye Mayor Erdem Atmaca reported that 8 houses were damaged in the fire, which was intervened with 3 fire trucks. Erdem Atmaca made the following statements:

"As soon as we received the report of the fire in our village of Kışlacık, as Kemaliye Municipality, we dispatched our 3 fire trucks to the region and intervened in the fire together with our teams. In line with the size of the fire and the course of the incident, we also requested support from the municipalities of Ağın and Arapgir. The fire was brought under control as a result of the intense and coordinated efforts of our teams. Unfortunately, 8 of our houses were burned in the fire. The fact that there was no loss of life in this sad incident is our greatest consolation. I thank the municipalities of Ağın and Arapgir, our firefighting teams, and all institutions and personnel who contributed to the fire response for their support. I extend my best wishes to our esteemed fellow citizens of Kışlacık village affected by the fire."
