Israeli construction and infrastructure companies have set their sights on multibillion-dollar reconstruction tenders in the Gaza Strip, which the Israeli army has devastated with genocidal attacks it has been waging for more than three years. According to a report by Haaretz newspaper, the Peace Board established under the leadership of US President Donald Trump plans to open 60 tenders for reconstruction work, the total cost of which is expected to reach $70 billion. Israel’s largest engineering companies are competing for the tenders.

Reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip, which the Israeli army has razed, are the target of Israeli companies. Israel's largest engineering and infrastructure companies are reportedly competing with each other to win billion-dollar tenders.

60 TENDERS PLANNED TO BE OPENED

According to a report by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Board of Peace established under the leadership of US President Donald Trump plans to open 60 tenders for reconstruction work to be carried out in areas of the Gaza Strip under Israeli army occupation. The total cost of the projects to be carried out under the supervision of the Board of Peace is expected to reach 70 billion dollars.

ISRAELI FIRMS COMPETING FOR TENDERS

Israeli firms competing for the tenders include Danya Cebus, Electra, Oron Group, Talor Karadi Group, and Shapir, which operate in infrastructure and construction. It was stated that companies seeking to earn billions of dollars in profit from reconstruction activities in Gaza have already submitted price bids for some tenders and submitted their documents to determine whether they meet prequalification requirements.

THEY AIM TO MAKE BILLIONS FROM THE RUBBLE IN GAZA, WHERE THEY COMMITTED GENOCIDE

In Haaretz's report, it was stated that it is not yet clear whether Israeli companies have won the tenders. However, it was argued that even if foreign companies receive the tenders, Israel-based firms could provide logistics and infrastructure services that would generate high profits. It was also reported that there is no information indicating that companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Gulf countries, which are alleged to undertake the financing of Gaza's reconstruction, have participated in the tenders.

THE RUBBLE REMOVAL TENDER ALONE IS 500 MILLION DOLLARS

It was noted that the Board of Peace has begun opening numerous tenders in the Gaza Strip, ranging from the construction of a police academy to the asphalt paving of a 35-kilometer road, and from rubble removal to the clearing of munitions from the area. In the report, which stated that the value of the rubble removal tender alone would reach 500 million dollars, it was reported that in later stages Israel plans to establish new factories on the Gaza Strip border for the supply of construction materials.

SOME US-ISRAELI COMPANIES SUBMITTED JOINT BIDS

In the report, which drew attention to the fact that most Israeli companies involved in the process are also suppliers to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, it was conveyed that some companies were asked to submit bids themselves. It was stated that US companies also showed intense interest in tenders with large profit returns, and that Israeli and US firms submitted joint bids for some tenders.

THEY ENTERED THE TENDER FOR THE INTERNATIONAL STABILIZATION FORCE BASE

In the report, which pointed out that among the first tenders opened was the project for a base belonging to the International Stabilization Force expected to be deployed to Gaza, it was reported that Israeli firms submitted price bids for this tender. The tender, opened by the US military and later transferred to the Board of Peace, covers the construction of a base that will house between 1,000 and 5,000 personnel, as well as its maintenance and operation for 5 years.

ELECTRA: WE SUBMITTED BIDS FOR MANY TENDERS

In a statement from the Israeli construction, infrastructure, and real estate company Electra, it was stated that the company “is continuing its work to take part in the activities carried out by the Board of Peace in Gaza.” The statement included: “Our company is willing to take part both in the operation and maintenance of multinational force camps expected to be deployed in later stages and in the reconstruction of infrastructure throughout the region. Bids have been submitted for many tenders, and the Board of Peace’s decisions are awaited. The tenders cover road construction, infrastructure rehabilitation, the establishment of a base for the multinational force, and other projects.”

“WAITING FOR THE DIPLOMATIC GREEN LIGHT TO BE TURNED ON”

A senior Israeli official from another company participating in the tenders related to Gaza said: “In no tender has a winning contractor been announced, and no start date for the works has been set. Nevertheless, all companies are collecting data and waiting for the diplomatic green light to be turned on.”
