A scaffolding collapsed in a building construction site in Kütahya after a material reel toppled over. Two of the four workers who fell from a height of 5 meters died, and two were injured.
Two workers died and two were injured when scaffolding collapsed at a building construction site in Kütahya.
SCAFFOLDING WHERE WORKERS WERE STANDING COLLAPSED
The scaffolding where workers were standing collapsed after a pulley hoisting materials overturned at a building construction site on Hekim Sinan Şair Şeyhi Boulevard in Bölücek Mahallesi. Upon notification of the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and police teams were dispatched to the area.
2 WORKERS LOST THEIR LIVES
The workers injured from a fall of approximately 5 meters—Mustafa Olgun (46), Abdullah Kaya (60), Hamit Sarı (71), and Süleyman Türkoğlu (58)—were taken to Kütahya City Hospital by health teams. Among the workers receiving treatment, Sarı and Türkoğlu could not be saved despite doctors' intervention. The other two injured workers are continuing their treatment.
