In an operation targeting a licensed warehousing company operating in Mardin, 9 out of 18 suspects who were detained were arrested. Additionally, jewelry valued at 10 million TL, believed to have been obtained from the crime, was confiscated, while a precautionary measure was applied to movable and immovable assets worth 700 million TL.

It was determined that 40 thousand tons of grain were missing during inspections conducted by officials from the Ministry of Trade in Mardin. Following this development, a comprehensive investigation was initiated by the Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

REAL ESTATE WORTH 700 MILLION TL

In the operation carried out by the Mardin Provincial Gendarmerie Command as part of the investigation, searches resulted in the seizure of 3,700 tons of corn and jewelry valued at 10 million TL, which is believed to have been obtained from the crime. A precautionary measure was also applied to movable and immovable assets worth 700 million TL belonging to the network.

9 OUT OF 18 SUSPECTS DETAINED HAVE BEEN ARRESTED

18 suspects, including the owner and manager of LIDAŞ, who played a role in the sale of the missing grain in the market, were detained. After their procedures at the gendarmerie, 9 of the suspects, who were referred to the courthouse, were arrested for the crime of "qualified embezzlement," while judicial control measures were applied to 9 other individuals identified as having assisted and facilitated the suspects.
