THEY GAVE ALL THEIR GOLD AND MONEY
According to the information obtained, suspects called a couple living in the Çarşamba district, saying "We will grant you citizenship, your name appears in a terror organization investigation," and demanded the gold in their possession. The couple, believing the suspects, handed over approximately 1 million 95 thousand TL worth of 175 grams of gold and 13,500 TL in cash from their home to a person they did not know.
SCAMMERS CAUGHT OUTSIDE THE PROVINCE
Later realizing they had been scammed, the couple reported the incident, and teams from the Samsun Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate Fraud Bureau Office and the Çarşamba District Police Department launched an investigation. As a result of the work, 2 suspects identified as the perpetrators of the incident were caught in a vehicle outside the province and taken into custody.
During a search of the vehicle where the suspects were found, 175 grams of gold and 13,500 TL in cash belonging to the victims were seized. The 2 suspects, brought to Samsun, were arrested by the court today and sent to prison. The seized gold and cash were returned to their owners.
