The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that recently, a total of 12,000 civil servants, including 3,000 teachers from the Ministry of Education, have been dismissed in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced that the Ministry of National Education in Syria has dismissed 3,000 teachers. The number of civil servants dismissed in other ministries and state institutions has exceeded 12,000.
Based in the UK, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that many civil servants, including those from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of National Education, and the management of the Latakia Port, have been dismissed in Syria.
12,000 CIVIL SERVANTS DISMISSED
SOHR stated that 12,000 civil servants have been dismissed. It was noted that the Ministry of National Education alone dismissed 3,000 teachers.
SOHR wrote that no clear reason was provided for the dismissals, raising concerns that this situation could herald stricter measures in the future.
500 WORKERS LAID OFF
SOHR sources also reported yesterday that the Iron and Steel Products Company decided to lay off 500 workers indefinitely.
