The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, who attended the Ukraine-themed meeting held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, said, "I hope there will be an immediate ceasefire, followed by a lasting peace agreement. What are the elements that will make this possible? Different countries have different opinions on this matter. But our priority, as expressed by our President, is that there are no losers in peace."

Hosted by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the Ukraine-themed summit held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, was attended by state leaders and ministers from Ukraine, France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Romania.

After the meeting, Foreign Minister Fidan made a statement. Hakan Fidan noted that the summit was indeed significant, stating that a summit was held with the participation of 17 countries, the European Union, and Canada.

"AMERICA'S POSITION IN RECENT WEEKS HAS LED TO SOME DIFFERENT OPINIONS"

Fidan, who reported that important representatives from all countries outside of the European Union and NATO attended the meeting, stated, "The main agenda here was discussed regarding Ukraine, a possible peace agreement in Ukraine, a ceasefire, and how this could be made possible. There are various, different opinions. In light of America's position in recent weeks and the increasing clarity of this position, some different views have emerged in the European Union. All of these were discussed around the table by European leaders. Turkey's contribution here is significant, both for a possible peace agreement in Ukraine and for the reconstruction of the European security architecture. As you know, our President has a great vision for this, and it needs to be implemented," he expressed.

"WE WILL SEE MEETINGS HELD EVERY TWO OR THREE WEEKS"

Fidan, stating that "Currently, there are discussions among European leaders who have recently visited America about what they can do here," said, "They have assigned their technical teams on this matter. There will be subsequent meetings, and as we understand, these meetings will be held more frequently. Instead of meetings every six months or every two months, we will see meetings held every two or three weeks. It is now known that the recently presented policy in America has raised some questions among European leaders, especially regarding the Ukraine dossier and generally concerning European security. This is being openly discussed. We are closely following these discussions," he said.

NOTABLE MESSAGE

Fidan also stated, "We will all see whether a peace agreement will be reached in Ukraine and whether Europe will achieve a new security architecture as a result. I hope there will be an immediate ceasefire, followed by a lasting peace agreement. What are the elements that will make this possible? Different countries have different opinions on this matter. But our priority, as expressed by our President, is that there are no losers in peace."
