The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of "purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for use, or using drugs or stimulants," "promoting or mediating prostitution," and "facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants" is ongoing.
17 PEOPLE DETAINED
As a result of the efforts made by the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Investigation Branch, an operation was carried out to capture a total of 24 suspects, including 17 in Istanbul, 1 outside the province, and 6 abroad.
During the operations, 17 suspects were detained, while efforts to capture the other suspects are ongoing. Meanwhile, during searches conducted at 4 businesses, a suspect wanted for "intentional injury" was captured and handed over to the police station.
The processing of the detained suspects at the police station is ongoing.
As part of the investigation, searches were conducted at some places operating as restaurants and entertainment venues in the Bebek, Kuruçeşme, and Etiler neighborhoods of Beşiktaş during the night hours.
