The second hearing of the case regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, in which 4 suspects are being tried with the request for aggravated life imprisonment, has begun. During the hearing, lawyer Aydın Özdemir from the Diyarbakır Bar Association drew attention to Narin's brother, Enes Güran. "WHY DID ENES GÜRAN SUDDENLY CHANGE HIS STATEMENT?"Özdemir stated that Enes Güran's name was mentioned the most in the secret meeting and that he frequently provided suspicious statements. He said: "Enes Güran made a total of 8 different statements. When examining Enes Güran's first statement in the file, he says in both statements, 'I started calling my brother from 16:30 onwards.' However, on the 29th, he suddenly shifts the time to after 18:00. Mr. President, what changed in these 5 days? If the first statement made immediately is true, why did he suddenly change his statement? In our opinion, this change is not merely a result of confusion. "A SITUATION CONTRARY TO THE ORDINARY FLOW OF LIFE"He first says, 'I harmed myself' regarding the bruise on his eye, then says, 'It could also be from the cornfield.' However, despite 3 days having passed, he cannot clearly explain this distinct mark. This is a situation contrary to the ordinary flow of life. We believe that the explanation here should not be considered a credible statement. "THE FAMILY IS TRYING TO KEEP ENES AWAY FROM THIS INCIDENT"The family is especially trying to keep Enes away from this incident. Hediye Güran said, 'Enes is sleeping at home.' However, Enes does not mention Hediye at all in his police statement. Later, he involves Hediye in the matter. Your Honor, we believe that Hediye Güran was specifically brought in to testify against Enes. REMINDING OF HIS CONVERSATIONS WITH HIS SIBLINGAfter talking with his brother, he says, 'Abican, don't talk to anyone, take care of yourself.' He asks, 'I kissed him while going to the mosque, will anything happen?' These are not spontaneously said sentences. Enes, again in his meeting in prison, says, 'Brother, tell my father, tell the lawyer, if he is sending, let him send.' There is a suspicious statement here. "THE MOST COMMONLY USED WORD IN MEETINGS IS ENES"The most commonly used word in those meetings is Enes. Although the shepherd denies it, he is someone who lives in that village. We did not expect him to say anything. We believe that Enes Güran directly participated in the act of murder in this case."
