"WE ENTRUST OURSELVES TO OUR NATION"
In a statement on his social media account, Şahan said, "This morning, a search was conducted at my home, and I was taken into custody. Even my lawyer was not allowed to participate in the search. Everyone should be at ease. Ekrem İmamoğlu is not alone; he has the nation behind him, Istanbul is behind him, we are here. If one of us falls, the others will catch up. We entrust ourselves to our nation."
"WE KNOW WE ARE NOT ALONE"
Murat Çalık, in a statement on his social media account, said, "Dear neighbors, beloved Istanbulites. I was taken into custody following a search conducted at my home this morning. Neither our President Ekrem İmamoğlu nor I and the other friends who have been issued detention orders are alone. My fellow travelers will continue to work with the same faith and determination. Our service to the public will continue uninterrupted. We entrust ourselves to our nation."
