Within the scope of an investigation coordinated by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and carried out with the Provincial Police Department, counter-terrorism police units conducted an operation against the 'Alparslan Kuytul Criminal Organization' at the homes of the group's leader Alparslan Kuytul and many others in the early hours of August 19. Precautions were taken around Kuytul's house in the Reşatbey neighborhood of Seyhan district with riot police and special operations teams.
ALPARSLAN KUYTUL DETAINED A brief argument broke out between Kuytul's supporters, who came to the area and chanted slogans, and police teams. Following a search of the house, Alparslan Kuytul, his wife Semra Kuytul, and 56 others, including 15 executives, were taken into custody on charges of establishing and managing a criminal organization, being a member of an organization, laundering assets derived from crime, qualified fraud, forgery of official documents, and violating the Tax Procedural Law. Efforts were initiated to capture 5 suspects who were not found at their addresses. The suspects were taken to the police station after a health check.
ENTRY TO BUILDING AND ROOMS VIA CODED DOORS During the first day's search of the organization's administrative building on Abidinpaşa Street in the Seyhan district, police teams determined that some computer cases and hard drives had been removed from the premises. It was understood that the building was accessed with a coded system, and some rooms were also protected with coded door systems. It was found that some computer cases were completely emptied, and hard drives that could contain organizational documents were not found in the cases. Additionally, it was noteworthy that although monitors, keyboards, and other equipment of computers in all rooms were present, the interiors of the cases were empty.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing investigation, it was stated that some individuals at the upper levels of the organization had contacts with people who had faced judicial proceedings within the scope of FETÖ/PDY. While a total of 24 different FETÖ/PDY-linked names appeared in the contact records, it was claimed that all 5 organization leaders still at large had contact with one or more of these individuals.
