In a statement regarding the protests that took place last night, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, "A total of 326 suspected account managers have been identified, including 72 located abroad, for the crimes of 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility' and 'inciting to commit crimes' through certain social media accounts." Minister Yerlikaya also noted that 16 police officers were injured during the protests last night.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the protests held last night to protest the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

53 INDIVIDUALS PROCESSED, 16 POLICE OFFICERS INJURED

Minister Yerlikaya stated that during the protests held last night, actions were taken against 53 individuals for violating Law No. 2911, damaging public property, and resisting the performance of duty, and that 16 police officers were injured during these protests.

The statement made by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya is as follows;

Through some social media accounts;

- "Inciting Hatred and Hostility" and

- "Inciting to Commit Crimes" crimes have been identified, with a total of 326 suspect account managers detected, 72 of whom are abroad.

As a result of the coordinated efforts of our Cyber Crime Department and Security Department, 54 suspects have been apprehended, and efforts to capture the other suspects are ongoing.

Additionally, during the protests held last night, actions were taken against 53 individuals for;

- Violating Law No. 2911,

- Damaging Public Property, and

- Resisting the Performance of Duty.

In these protests, 16 of our police officers were injured. I wish a speedy recovery to our police officers.
