In the investigation regarding the sale of private footage recorded with a hidden camera at the Fatma Özçalışkan Private Medical Polyclinic in Bakırköy, the business owner Fatma Özçalışkan, who was arrested, denied the charges from prison. Claiming that the 14,000 images did not belong only to her center, Özçalışkan alleged that the archive also contained recordings secretly taken in homes, hotels, different beauty centers, and changing rooms of famous brands.
Fatma Özçalışkan, owner of the Private Medfa Polyclinic, who was arrested in the scandal of intimate images secretly recorded at a beauty center in Bakırköy, Istanbul, being sold on Telegram, denied the charges in a statement from prison. Arguing that she is the real victim, Özçalışkan claimed that the 14,000 images mentioned in the media did not come only from her center.
"I DID NOT SINK SO LOW AS TO SERVE MY DAUGHTER'S AND MY RELATIVES' PRIVACY"
Fatma Özçalışkan, stating that she has been serving in the beauty sector for a quarter of a century, said in her message from prison that the allegations against her were untrue and that she was the victim of a conspiracy. Emphasizing that the images taken in her own center also included her 17-year-old daughter, her niece, and her employees, Özçalışkan said, "I did not lose my mind enough to destroy my own livelihood and serve the intimate images of my beloved daughter and my relatives; I did not sink that low. From the very first day I learned of the incident, while no one had yet filed a complaint, I personally went and filed a complaint."
"THE ARCHIVE ALSO INCLUDES CABINS OF HOTELS AND BIG BRANDS"
Özçalışkan denied the news in the press that "14,000 intimate images were seized in the clinic," claiming that the scope of the leaked archive was much wider. Claiming that the said visual archive was not limited only to her clinic, Özçalışkan drew attention to the following details:
"The aforementioned 14,000 images include a husband and wife having sexual intercourse in their home, an innocent mother breastfeeding her baby, dressing rooms of shopping stores, hotels, different beauty centers, and secret recordings taken from cabins of all famous brands. Didn't these famous brands and large hotel chains see themselves at all in these 14,000 images?"
3 PEOPLE SENT TO PRISON IN THE INVESTIGATION
The scandal emerged when 4 women who received services from the beauty center in Bakırköy Zuhuratbaba District went to the police on August 28 and reported that their intimate images were being sold on digital platforms. In the operation carried out at the clinic, a total of 7 hidden camera setups, 1 active and 6 dismantled, along with a large number of digital materials, were seized.
Within the scope of the investigation, the owner of the beauty center, Fatma Özçalışkan, Emrah Selim Cansever, the suspect who installed the hidden camera and alarm systems, and Abdullah Çatalbaş, the administrator of the Telegram channel where the images were sold, have been arrested so far.
