In the U.S. state of Florida, a creature resembling a shark was filmed on a street covered in floodwaters after heavy rains. While going to pick up her daughter from school, a woman noticed the creature moving in the water and recorded the moments of her astonishment with her cell phone. While the footage drew attention, it has not yet been confirmed whether the creature is a shark.

Severe rainfall that has been effective for days in the US state of Florida has caused flooding in many areas. Footage recorded at an intersection in Fort Pierce that was covered by floodwaters, however, caused astonishment. A woman driving through the intersection of 25th Street and Midway Road noticed a creature moving in the water that resembled a shark. In the footage recorded by the woman with her cell phone, the creature was seen swimming near vehicles.

SHE NOTICED IT WHILE GOING TO PICK UP HER DAUGHTER FROM SCHOOL

Franshara Napoleon, who recorded the footage, said she set out to pick up her daughter from school before the storm intensified. Napoleon, who stated that she noticed movement at the intersection covered by floodwaters, grabbed her phone when she saw a creature she thought was a shark in the water.

Describing her astonishment, the woman said she could not believe what she saw. In the footage, the creature's dorsal fin was seen emerging above the water from time to time as it tried to move away from the surrounding vehicles.

HEAVY RAINS TURNED STREETS INTO LAKES

The rainfall that was effective along Florida's east coast led to serious flooding in residential areas. In Fort Pierce, approximately 254 millimeters of rain were recorded over a three-day period. In some areas, roads were completely submerged, and drivers had difficulty moving forward.

According to meteorological data, a daily rainfall record was broken in Fort Pierce on November 2. It was assessed that, as floodwaters rose, marine creatures may have moved outside their normal habitats.

A GIANT FISH WAS SEEN IN ANOTHER AREA

After the footage from Fort Pierce, a remarkable event also occurred in Indian Harbour Beach, about an hour's distance away. People walking in Gleason Park, which was covered by floodwaters, recorded large tarpon fish passing by them.

Alex Martinez, who recorded the footage, stated that although he had lived in the area for many years, he had never before seen the park flooded in this way. Martinez, who said one of the fish came within about 60 centimeters of him, expressed his astonishment.
