On Saturday, we explained Polat Şaroğlu's situation in Tunceli to our Deputy Chairman Responsible for Organizations, Mr. Ensar Aytekin, but we still have not received a response. Yesterday, we explained the situation to the Deputy Chairman Responsible for Organizations, Ali Abbas, and again there was no response," he said.
"HE BECAME A GODFATHER FOR ÖZGÜR ÖZEL FOR HIS OWN INTERESTS"
Provincial Chairman Özcan alleged that Şaroğlu is also the godfather of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's child for his own interests, stating, "Polat Şaroğlu has prevented the election from being won by not supporting and not working for Ali Mustafa Çelik, whom he saw as a rival in the local elections. On the other hand, he has moved to the second stage by removing our districts of Pertek and Ovacık, which he saw as obstacles, and bringing in a management that would not deviate from his words. After doing these, he set up a new scenario to remove the central district management, which he saw as an obstacle, and by sidelining this scenario he created in the central district management, he tried to clear the way for his own management. He has been somewhat successful in this. There is one thing he has forgotten while doing all this; if he thinks he has cleared the way by taking the districts, he is very mistaken. On the contrary, if he thinks he has won, let me say this clearly. Polat Şaroğlu has lost, and he has lost in such a way that he will not return. Because although he says he will not take sides in the provincial chairmanship election, he has also shown that he is taking sides, and ultimately he has forgotten that the final decision will be made by the people in both the local elections and the parliamentary elections. Moreover, he can do this without hesitation on the day when the Istanbul provincial chairmanship is removed by court order and trustees are appointed in their place, supported by the central headquarters. So friends, were we not against the trustees? Were we not shouting in the squares that we were against the trustees?
"THE CENTRAL HEADQUARTERS IGNORED OUR PROBLEMS"
When trustees were appointed to our municipalities and provincial chairmanship, were we not all against it? Were we not fighting against this? What should we say about these actions while we are seeking justice elsewhere? It is impossible for someone who says 'I am a member of the Republican People's Party' to accept and remain silent about these actions. Through our General Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, who is also his godfather and currently our Deputy Chairman Responsible for Organizations, Mr. Ensar Aytekin, with whom he was a roommate during his term as a member of parliament, Polat Şaroğlu can easily say these things in the environments he is in. Since our central headquarters has ignored our problems despite all our warnings, we will not leave the party as per our decision, and we will not abandon the party until the central headquarters listens to us.
Polat Şaroğlu can easily say that he is a reformist at the central headquarters and that he is a Kemalist when he comes to Tunceli, without hesitation, and he does not hesitate to mislead people. In other words, wherever his interests lie, he can easily change his stance. Our organizations have remained silent until now to prevent 'our party from being harmed', but we can no longer remain silent against this injustice.
