18 PEOPLE APPLIED TO THE INFIRMARY

At the Beycuma M Type Closed Prison today, 18 convicts and detainees were taken to the prison infirmary with complaints of nausea and vomiting. Upon notification of the situation, 112 Emergency Health teams dispatched to the prison provided initial intervention at the facility. Of those experiencing discomfort, 5 were later taken to Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital by ambulances. After receiving treatment, the detainees and convicts were returned to the facility.

FOOD SAMPLES TAKEN FOR ANALYSIS

Officials reported that breakfast was served to 934 people, and lunch and dinner to 932 people, and that no food poisoning diagnosis was made for the convicts and detainees referred to the hospital. Regarding the issue, teams from the Zonguldak Provincial Health Directorate took water samples, while teams from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry took food samples for analysis. It was stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
