A person on a bicycle in Konya snatched the mobile phone of a woman waiting by the roadside and disappeared. The thief, captured by security cameras second by second, was caught at the address where he was hiding.
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 23, in the Küçükkumköprü Street of the central Karatay district, in the Doğuş neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a person on a bicycle approached a woman named E.C., who was waiting on the street and looking at her phone at that moment, snatched her mobile phone, and quickly rode away.

Upon notification, teams from the Karatay District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau were dispatched to the scene.

Teams that watched approximately 150 hours of security camera footage tracked the suspect step by step and identified the address where he was hiding. Teams that raided the suspect's hiding place last night captured and detained the suspect M.H. The theft suspect M.H. was taken to the police station for questioning after undergoing a health check at Konya Numune Hospital.

In his initial statement here, M.H. reportedly said, "I was influenced by the movie I watched while riding my bicycle, I wanted to try it too, but I got caught by the police, I didn't expect this." The suspect will be referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
