Independent Mining Workers, 110 miners who were on a hunger strike in front of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources for the wages and compensation of Doruk Mining workers, were detained.

A portion of the workers who are members of the Independent Mining Workers' Union, employed at Doruk Mining operating in Eskişehir, reached the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources on foot yesterday. The Independent Mining Workers' Union announced that 110 of the miners who started a hunger strike were detained this morning.

In a statement made on their social media account, the Independent Mining Workers' Union said, "While we were waiting to find a counterpart in front of the Ministry of Energy, the response was to detain 110 of our friends. We are miners, we will not be discouraged by detentions, we will continue from where we left off. We have said it before: we came to Ankara with our shrouds, we are here."
